Bearcats kickoff inaugural season with a dramatic win on the road! 27-20

The Jersey Bearcats opened the 2019 season on the road in Philadelphia, Pa taking on the Hunting Park Seminoles. The Bearcats jumped out to a early lead 7-0 in the first quarter on a TD pass from QB John Mercier to WR Charlie McNeill. After that first drive the Bearcats offense stalled on the next couple drives in the first half. The defense for the Bearcats did a great job forcing turnovers and keeping the game close at halftime 12-7 with Seminoles taking the lead at the break. The Bearcats received the second half kickoff and got things rolling from there! The Defense for the Bearcats came up big once again forcing incomplete passes and a interception because of pressure being applied from Tourie Williams and Josh Brown on the opposing QB. Bearcats offensively score 20 second half points to pull out the Victory 27-20 scoring a late TD with under 1 minute on the clock. John Mercier had 4TD passes 2 of which went to Lou Velez and the other 2 were caught by Charlie McNeill. Dyante Daniels on the Defensive side of the ball for the Bearcats also had a interception. The Bearcats are home next week March 30th against the Capital City Copperheads! kickoff time is 8:30 at The Sportsplex @ Metuchen.

Bearcats win home opener with big win over the Capital City Copperheads 46-0

The Bearcats had their first home game of their inaugural 2019 season and boy did they not disappoint with a 46-0 win! The Bearcats started early with scoring from Charlie McNeill catching a TD pass from John Mercier to go up 7-0. The Defense was flying around and hitting people and coming up with big stops on Defense. The Bearcats defense let up under 50 yds of offense which is very difficult to do. Dwan Williams picked up a fumble and ran it in for a Defensive touchdown. At halftime the Bearcats were up on the Copperheads 25-0. Offensively Charlie McNeill had 4TD receptions for the game. John Mercier Threw 4TD passes as well as Michael Merritt played at QB as well and threw 2 TD passes. Michael Casado hauled in his first TD pass of the season from John Mercier. AJ Cooper scored as well on a Slant Route from QB Michael Merrit. Defense pitched a shut out for the first time this season. The Bearcats will look to remain undefeated on the season as they travel to Allentown, Pa next week to take on the Capital City Copperheads April 6th at 7pm.
Bearcats Win 38-0 in blowout fashion!

The Jersey Bearcats are 4-0 after a big win against Philadelphia Kings. Michael Casado kicked off the scoring for the Bearcats taking a slant route from John Mercier to the endzone. Charlie McNeill was continuing his scoring streak he is now at 10 TD receptions on the season after having a 2 TD reception game against the Kings. Aaron Willimas caught another TD from John Mercier he has played the last 2 games after being out due to injury and has 2 TDs. The Defense posted another shutout. This their 2nd shutout of the season. AJ Cooper picked up a fumble and scored for the Defense. Defense has scored a TD in 3 of our 4 games! Next week the Bearcats travel to Massachusetts to take on the New England Bearcats of the American Arena League which is a professional team. The Bearcats are looking forward to the challenge of playing a professional team.
Bearcats win 39-30 to remain unbeaten at 6-0.

Jersey Bearcats got things rolling early when Steven Jones Jr returned the opening Kickoff 40yds for the first score of the game! John Mercier threw a 21yd touchdown pass to Peterson Apollon. Michael Meritt had 3 total Tds for the game which included a 38 yard td pass to Peterson Apollon (2nd of the day), 36 yd td pass to Matt Magaraci and capped off the final drive of the game with a 1 yd plunge into the endzone to put the Bearcats up for good. Dyshon Day had a 19yd TD run. John Mercier and Michael Merritt combined for 9/13 141yds 4TDs and 1 int. On the ground the Bearcats accounted for 65 yards. Bearcats offense had 206 yards of total offense. Tymier Aultman had 1 Interception on defense. Joey Ramirez lead the Defense in sacks with 2. The defense played hard all game and came up with key stops on 4th down to keep the Seminoles out of the endzone.
