RICHARD FIX

JERSEY BEARCATS SIGN DYNAMIC PLAYMAKER RICHARD FIX FOR 2027 SEASON

Former West Mifflin standout brings explosive playmaking ability, versatility, and a proven history of scoring touchdowns to the American Arena League.

The Jersey Bearcats continue strengthening their roster for the 2027 American Arena League season with the signing of wide receiver Richard “Rich” Fix, a versatile offensive weapon whose football career has been defined by explosive plays, athleticism, and the ability to make an impact in multiple phases of the game.

A former standout at West Mifflin Area High School in Pennsylvania, Fix built a reputation as a dynamic athlete capable of contributing as a wide receiver, running back, quarterback, and defensive player. His versatility made him a valuable part of the Titans’ offense and helped establish him as an exciting playmaker throughout his high school career.

A Proven Playmaker at West Mifflin

One of the defining highlights of Fix’s high school career came during the 2022 season, when he emerged as one of West Mifflin’s most versatile offensive threats.

By the WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinals, Fix had accounted for 10 touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to find the end zone in multiple ways.

His most memorable performance came during West Mifflin’s 54–28 playoff victory over Southmoreland in November 2022.

Fix delivered an extraordinary three-touchdown performance, scoring:

• One rushing touchdown
• One receiving touchdown
• One electrifying 83-yard kickoff return touchdown

The performance demonstrated exactly what makes Fix dangerous: his ability to change a game whenever the football is in his hands.

Versatility Beyond the Receiving Position

Throughout his time with the Titans, Fix was much more than a traditional offensive player.

His experience at running back, quarterback, wide receiver, and on defense gave him an understanding of the game from multiple positions.

He also established himself as a dangerous special teams contributor.

During West Mifflin’s thrilling 17–16 victory over Elizabeth Forward in August 2024, Fix delivered a crucial 53-yard kickoff return that helped set up a fourth-quarter touchdown.

His contributions extended beyond the stat sheet, reflecting his ability to create opportunities and shift momentum in important moments.

Fix also earned recognition on the 2022 PA Football News All-Academic Bronze Team, highlighting his accomplishments beyond the field.

Bringing His Playmaking Ability to Arena Football

Now, Fix prepares to take the next step in his football journey with the Jersey Bearcats.

Arena football presents a fast-paced, high-scoring environment where quick decisions, athleticism, precise route running, and the ability to create separation are essential.

For a player with Fix’s background, the indoor game presents an exciting opportunity to showcase the versatility that made him successful at West Mifflin.

His experience carrying the football, catching passes, and contributing on special teams gives him multiple ways to compete for a role in the Bearcats’ offense.

As the organization prepares for its 2027 campaign, Fix will have an opportunity to demonstrate how his athletic ability and football instincts translate to the arena game.
