JERSEY BEARCATS ADD FORMER DIVISION I WIDE RECEIVER ZECCHEUS ROBERSON FOR 2027 SEASON

Former University at Albany standout brings proven receiving ability and collegiate experience to the Bearcats offense.

The Jersey Bearcats continue strengthening their offensive roster ahead of the 2027 American Arena League season with the addition of wide receiver Zeccheus “Zee” Roberson, a former NCAA Division I standout from the University at Albany.

Listed at 6-foot-2 during his collegiate career, Roberson brings size, athleticism, and a history of making plays in competitive football environments.

During his freshman season at UAlbany in 2015, Roberson quickly established himself as a reliable offensive weapon. Appearing in all 11 games with 10 starts, he led the Great Danes with 46 receptions, totaling 431 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His performance also ranked him among the Colonial Athletic Association’s leading receivers.

Roberson continued demonstrating his big-play ability during the 2016 season. In a 45–28 victory over Holy Cross, he delivered a standout performance with four receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns, helping the nationally ranked Great Danes improve to 3–0.

A Pennsylvania native, Roberson developed his football foundation at East Stroudsburg South High School, where he earned first-team all-league and all-area recognition. Over his high school career, he recorded 104 receptions for 1,947 yards and 21 touchdowns.

His football journey also included Milford Academy and a subsequent opportunity with the Quad City Steamwheelers of the Indoor Football League, adding exposure to the fast-paced demands of indoor football.

As the Jersey Bearcats prepare for their 2027 campaign, Roberson’s receiving background and experience competing at the Division I level make him an exciting addition to the offensive unit.

The Bearcats are building a roster focused on competitiveness, execution, and offensive production. Roberson brings another experienced receiving option as the organization prepares to take the field for the upcoming season.

Welcome to Jersey, Zeccheus Roberson.
